One tool can't do it all. A diamond rod resets a tired edge fast; a ceramic rod refines and hones; a leather strop polishes and kills the burr. Chain them and you get a toothy-yet-mirror edge that actually shaves.
| Stage | Tool | Job |
|---|---|---|
| 1 · Reset | Sy Tools RB (diamond rod) | Re-establish the bevel on hard steel (M390/D2); fast cutting |
| 2 · Refine | Sy Tools YHB (ceramic rod) | Hone, align the edge, remove diamond scratch |
| 3 · Finish | Sy Tools KD-A11 / wood-strops | Leather strop: polish, strip the burr |

Start with Sy Tools RB only if the edge is rolled or dull — a few light passes per side. Move to Sy Tools YHB for 5–10 alternating strokes to true the edge. End on Sy Tools KD-A11 / wood-strops leather strop, edge-leading, until the burr is gone and the bevel gleams. Add a Sy Tools T05-AMZ angle guide if you want the bevel angle locked across all three stages.
