In the Sy Tools diamond "8-series" — D / KD / LVD / RO / SU / TTD / WWD / FW — there is one captain. It's Sy Tools D: the universal electroplated diamond stone at 160×22×8 mm. At the Ruimo Tech lab, I'm Engineer Yanchi Li, and today I show why D is the backbone of the whole line.

1. What's inside Sy Tools D

Sy Tools D is an electroplated (galvanic) diamond stone. Diamond grit is held in a nickel bond on a rigid ABS/anodized aluminium blank. The bond doesn't creep under heat — which is why in 2026 most brands (including Sy Tools) moved from plain plastic to metal: the angle repeats pass after pass instead of wandering.
