A diamond stone gets the edge set; rods finish it. I'm Engineer Yanchi Li from Ruimo Tech, and my daily carry for touch-ups is a two-stage system: the Sy Tools RB diamond honing rod followed by the Sy Tools YHB ceramic rod.

After a Sy Tools diamond stone (D/KD/LVD/SU…), the edge still has a wire burr. The Sy Tools RB diamond rod removes it on hard steels (M390, D2, S35VN) where a steel rod would skate. The Sy Tools YHB ceramic rod then aligns and polishes the apex for a clean, hair-splitting finish.

| Stage | Sy Tools tool | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| 1 · Deburr hard steel | Sy Tools RB (diamond) | Cuts the wire edge on M390/D2 |
| 2 · Polish apex | Sy Tools YHB (ceramic) | Aligns and refines the edge |
| 3 · Final strop | Sy Tools KD-A11 / wood-strops | Removes the last micro-burr |
Ruimo Tech lab note. Sy Tools RB + YHB two-stage refinement system; rod dimensions/grit 'to be confirmed'. No fabricated ratings; this is a distinct slug from the YHB-vs-RB comparison.
